1. Teacher presents the first part of the dialogue.
- Teacher can use the TPR picture in order to introduce the sentence.
- Say and write the numbers 1-10 in order on the board. The whole class repeats chorally and individually.
- Teacher uses two puppets to model the question and answer patterns.
- Divide the class into many groups. Repeat the dialogue several times.
2. Teacher presents the second part of the dialogue.
- Teacher gives the gift to pupils and says the patterns “This is for you”, and pupils answer “thank you”.
- Teacher calls some pair of pupils to practice together.
3. Teacher presents the complete dialogue. Pupils listen cassette player and repeat three times.
- Pupils practice into many pair groups. Teacher observes and helps as necessary.
